Target Group
The target group will be 44300 poor households, characterized as poor
and food insecure, living in the hills adjacent to degraded forest in
the programme area. Among this total are three groups:
(i) the poorest are food secure for 2-3 months a year;
(ii) the poorer are food secure for 4-5 months a year; and
(iii) the poor are food secure for 6-8 months a year.
Female-headed households with many dependents also lack labor and all
poor lack access to off- farm income generating opportunities.
